Zuma condemns Zimbabwe poll delay ... denounced former colonial ruler Britain and said thieves were trying to steal his country. Mugabe speaking to 15,000 cheering supporters marking 28 years of independence also brushed off criticism over his human rights record, saying that democracy had only been established in Zimbabwe after the depature of its colonial rulers.
Mugabe is under heavy international criticism for the delay in releasing results from the March 29 presidential vote, which the opposition says it won. Meanwhile, South African dock workers are refusing to unload a shipment of arms from China destined for Zimbabwe.
