Japan's Meteorological Agency has lifted the tsunami warning it issued for northeastern Japan on Saturday after an earthquake struck off the east coast of Honshu.
There were no initial reports of damage or casualties from the magnitude 6.6 quake. The epicentre was about 10 kilometres under the sea basin off the coast of north-central Fukushima province.
