0755: It may be a few hours before the leaders get off and running, but there are plenty of big names to keep your eye on this morning. England's Paul Casey has just teed off, Lee Westwood at 0800 and former Open champ Ernie Els is up at 0810 just for starters.
0749: Owing to there being an odd numbver of player making the cut, Archer is having to play his third round on his own. He's not messing about either, he's rattled off pars at the first two holes already. He must be playing some sort of speed golf.
0735: The leaders will be enjoying a well earned lie in this morning, with KJ Choi and Greg Norman not teeing off until 1440 BST, but the third round is already under way. England's Phillip Archer got things off and running about five minutes ago.
0730: Ever since my auntie and uncle took me to Troon in 1989 the Open weekend has been the highlight of the annual sporting calendar for me. But this is YOUR special weekend, so let me know your Open memories, thoughts or hopes. Get in touch via text on 81111 or you can get involved on 606 after it opens at 0900 BST.
0725: Welcome to our coverage of the third round of the Open. If you are not as excited as a small child in a large all-you-can-eat sweet shop then either you need your head examined or you've clicked on this page by mistake.
