Democracy in the Czech Republic is most often approved of by the voters of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS) and most often disapproved of by the electorate of the Communists (KSCM). In the 1990s, general satisfaction with Czech democracy was rising and it reached two-fifths by the end of the decade.

The elderly, people with lower education, leftist voters and those considering themselves poor are largely dissatisfied with the state of democracy in the Czech Republic. The poll was conducted on a sample of 1244 Czechs over 18 on June 13-23.
