23.07.2008 - Glock ready to return after crash

Glock spent Sunday night in hospital but tests revealed he suffered no injuries or concussion.

His Toyota team say a fault with the right-rear toelink/trackrod was to blame for the crash.

"I'm not at all concerned because I trust the team completely," said Glock, who has picked up five points in Formula One this season.

"I am looking forward to getting back in the car. It is an important test and I am pleased I can contribute.

"Then of course I will be racing in Hungary where I expect the same strong performance level and hopefully a points finish."

Glock said he had seen the crash on television and added: "It looked worse than it really was.

"I am fine now. I spent Sunday night in the hospital but only so the doctors could complete their checks.

"They ran X-rays and an MRI scan and found no problems at all, so I went home on Monday morning for some rest and more checks with my doctor.

"It was a really hard impact and my back hurt immediately after I got out of the car but now it is fine."

Toyota are conducing further tests into the incident, which came on lap 36 and led to the safety car being deployed.

"I was running well and looking set for the points but I ran a little wide on the last corner of lap 35," explained Glock.

"That wasn't a major problem because most cars were doing that at some stage in the race but I just felt the back of the car go.

"I tried to catch it but I was not able to. I had no control at that point and was just a passenger."
