Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili has signed a French-brokered ceasefire aimed at ending the armed conflict in the Georgian break-away region of South Ossetia.
This came during a meeting with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi.
