To sports: The German men's national football team has started the qualifications for the 2010 World Cup with a victory.
On Saturday evening, coach Joachim Löw's squad defeated Liechtenstein 6-0 in Vaduz. German cyclist Linus Gerdemann, of the Columbia team, has won the Tour of Germany. The Münster cyclist came fourth after the eighth and final stage in Bremen but was able to defend his yellow jersey for the overall win.
