The death toll in the head-on crash of a commuter train and a freight train near Los Angeles has risen to 18.
Rescue workers are continuing to search the wreckage in the hope of finding further survivors. Over 130 people were also injured when the train, carrying more than 200 passengers, smashed into a freight train which was on the same track heading in the opposite direction.
