The death toll from the head-on crash of a commuter train and a freight train near the western US city of Los Angeles has climbed to 23.
The collision also left another 130 people injured. Rescue workers are continuing to search the wreckage in the hope of finding further survivors. It wasn't immediately clear why the two trains were travelling along the same stretch of track.
