Pope Benedict XVI arrives in Australia ... the victims of violence, hatred and poverty.
The Pontiff was speaking following a procession through Lourdes in the south of the country. The 81-year-old Pope was in Lourdes on a pilgrimage to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the apparition of the Virgin Mary to a 14-year-old peasant girl. Earlier in the day Benedict held an open air mass in Paris, which was attended by more than 200,000 worshippers.
