Witnesses say a car bomb has exploded near the US embassy in Yemen. Residents in the capital, Sana'a, said two explosions were heard, followed by gunfire.

Yemen blast 'kills five people' ... of injured people being taken away in ambulances. Police have reportedly cordoned off the area. A failed attack on the US embassy in March wounded several girls at a nearby school along with a group of soldiers. That attack was claimed by a group affiliated with al-Qaeda.
